Once, there was a school.

Actually there were several schools; there has never been only one. But the girl was only going to one school.

It was not an especially nice school; in fact it took pride only in the sorts of things schools generally took pride in. The students were intelligent, athletic, creative, but also bored, and in their boredom sought the unreal, the paranormal, wherever they could find it.

So as the girl stood hunched over, staring, uncertain and rather less than eager, the students stared balefully back at her and saw her scowling, plotting.

I mostly draw these in math class. So I apologize for any changes in style, especially in the writing. It depends on how interesting the class is that day
